“I replaced my complete system in May. 2018. My Guys A/C did an excellent job in the work. They were prompt and courteous and cleaned up completely when completed. The new system has cut my electric bill by 45-50%. It is very quiet and efficient. Fast forward to today and the controller went out due to a power outage/surge we experienced this past Thursday. I called My Guys at about 4:55 PM and they came over right away and replaced the smart control unit this evening by 6:00 PM. Quoted me over $1,000, then gave me the “best price” at $700+ (For a job that requires about 10 ft of pipe in a 3’ X 3’ area connecting the value in my garage to the spout outside. He said I could potentially do it myself “and run the risk of flooding my entire house” (fear tactic?) or I could “go get some ‘Jose’ from Lowes” to fix it for less. (racist and unnecessary) When I told him I couldn’t afford the best fix, he also took the time to remind me that he has running water at his house, and he’s got other business elsewhere… When I asked how it could cost so much, he made sure to remind me of all the mark-ups, the warranty, the insurance they have to pay for, signs, advertising… as if I don’t understand the concept of running a business. I figured the plumbers in my neighborhood would be the best bet, but I was wrong. I called Miller’s Brother Plumbing, a locally owned business here in Conroe for 30 years, and what do you know - they quoted me less than half the price for the exact same job. How wild is that. And I don’t have to deal with some racist asshole - that’s priceless. Unfortunately for your company, I was ALMOST going to take him up on $750, but then I thought “How could I ever trust this person to not create more damage in the process of fixing it? He’s already tried to upswell me within 1 minute of being in my driveway. I would rather pay $750 to never have to speak to this person again” While I don’t appreciate the waste of time, I am happy that your sales rep’s utter apathy for my specific job, led me to a different company that isn’t in the business of ripping people off and / or taking advantage of people without running water. I don’t have time for a review on your website, but I will gladly share my experience on the Harpers Landing Facebook page, free of charge.
