Should You Use a Humidifier or Dehumidifier in the Winter?

Warm air is pushed by the furnace across the humidifier’s water panel. The warm air gets moisture and then is blown into the home. A fan-powered humidifier is similar in design, but it uses its own fan instead of the fan from the furnace. The other type of whole-house humidifier is a steam humidifier. It boils water and then sends that steam into the air before it enters the ductwork.
